If your tire pressure monitoring system is alerting you that there’s a problem, there are a few things to take into consideration before bringing your vehicle into Philpott Pre-Owned Super Center.

  • Check all four of your tires to see if they are at the recommended level of air pressure that is outlined in your owner’s manual. You want the levels to be just right. Too much or too little air can result in a blowout.
  • The sensor inside of your tires could be malfunctioning. If you’ve checked all of your tires and they’re correct, this might be the problem that’s occurring.
  • Driving over a curb or picking up a nail in your tire can lead to a slow leak of air that could take days to discover.
  • The cold winter temperatures may require you to top off your tires. Cold air condenses air which would result in low levels.
