How many times have you been stranded on the side of the road because your tire went flat? It sucks, but it happens. What if I told you that there was a way to avoid this problem in the future? This article is going to show you how easy it is to replace a flat tire. Replacing a flat tire is one of the most basic car repairs. It does not require any special tools and can be done in under an hour.
Step 1: Remove the spare tire from the trunk
If you have not already done so, open up your trunk and locate your spare tire. Lift it into an upright position and pull it towards the front of the car until there is a complete disconnect between the rubber tire and the metal rim.
Step 2: Loosen bolts that attach tire to axle
There are two bolts on each side of the tire. The first is attached at a right angle from the underside of the trunk lid. The second is attached parallel to the tire. Use a wrench to loosen both bolts.
