Our Philpott Pre-Owned Super Center team likes helping Nederland drivers keep their vehicles in good condition. If your vehicle has scratches or knicks, be sure to follow these tips when applying touch up paint.

Make sure that you clean the surface of your vehicle. You'll get the best results if your vehicle is dry and clean. It's also helpful to sand the damaged area with small sand paper. Clean and prep the area with a paint thinner, which will help the paint adhere better.

You can use a fine-tip brush to apply the paint. If you notice the paint has less volume than the surrounding area, wait until the paint has dried before you apply another coat. Once the paint has dried and you're happy with the result, wait about 48 hours for it to harden. When the paint has hardened, you can polish the area to match the rest of the vehicle.
